Mad Jazz collaboration promotional project
This project is an imaginary collaboration between three artists; Nancy Holloway, Adrian younge, and Bill Evans.
I designed promotional content for a concert poster, cover artwork for a collaborative single, and a short motion graphic teaser video for social media.

I wanted to capture a older 50s vibe for the visual language. This meant incorporating bright colors and large geometric forms that lay in skewed positions.
For the imagery, I would give a grainy texture using purple-red monochrome colors.

The play of the imagery between type and musical instruments on this poster is meant to stand out for this real-world environment.

Below shown are some of my sketches and brainstorming to get my direction clear. Here I explore different genres to choose my three artists. I landed with Jazz and chose Nancy Holloway, Adrian Younge, and Bill Evans as my collaboration. I chose to call this collaboration MADJAZZ.
